Kelly Clarkson admits she ‘loves losing weight’ in candid chat with Today’s Jenna Bush Hager on talk show
Kelly Clarkson has talked about her weight loss journey on her talk show.
The host recently spoke with sisters Barbara, 41, and Jenna Bush Hager, 41, on Monday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
In the middle of their interview, Kelly, 41, showed a picture of Barbara and Jenna in matching dresses when they were younger.
"We were chubby," Jenna admitted.
Kelly disagreed: "You were not!"
"Well, we were," the Today host replied.
"Not there," Barbara interveined.
Jenna agreed: "Not there, but I was."
"I don't think you know what chubby is," the US daytime TV host said.
Moments later, they spoke about not being able to fit in their clothes anymore.
"Ugh, I don't fit into mine. I love losing weight but here's the thing. Jeans are so hard, I feel like when you have a butt and a smaller waist," Kelly said while the audience cheered her on.
Jenna questioned: "Do you want me to take you jean shopping?"
"I don't want to go shopping," Kelly said.
"Shall I just do what I do for Hoda [Kotb] and send you some jeans?" Jenna asked.
Kelly laughed while Jenna said they'll "figure it out."
LOOKING GOOD!
During her interview, the American Idol winner showed off her toned legs while sporting a beautiful dress.
She paired her form-fitting ensemble with a white blouse and black heels while her long, brunette hair was styled into loose curls.
The TV star also kept her dirty-blond hair down over her shoulders and down her back.
Other than Jenna and Barbara, Kelly also welcomed Priscilla star Cailee Spaeny, 25 on the show.
HER WEIGHT LOSS
The Since U Been Gone singer's drastic weight loss has been a hot topic, with rumors swirling about how she managed to slim down.
She, like many other celebrities, has been accused of using Ozempic to shed the weight.
The Grammy winner hasn't yet addressed the buzz.
Kelly has been open about the criticism she's faced in regards to her weight through the years.
She revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2015 that people would constantly mention it.
"I was the biggest girl in the [American Idol cast] too," Kelly said. "And I wasn’t big, but people would call me big … I’ve kind of always gotten that."
She continued: "I think what hurts my feelings for people is that I’ll have a meet and greet after the show, and a girl who’s bigger than me will be in the meet and greet and be like, 'Wow, if they think you’re big, I must be so fat to them.'
"And it’s like, you’re just who you are. We are who we are — whatever size."
LADY IN RED
This week, Kelly attended a Sirius XM event in New York City with her friend, singer Maren Morris, 33.
The Miss Independent singer strutted her stuff while posing for photographers while showing off her stunning figure in a red pantsuit.
The long-sleeved suit featured a deep V-neckline and a pleated design down the pant legs.
The former The Voice coach posed with her hands on her hips as she stood solo and next to Maren, who also wore a red ensemble of her own.
